Ok, so we were kind of scattered about the landscape last weekend for the Fourth. DO NOT TAKE THAT AS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS!!!!

Back on the bikes tomorrow (Saturday) with an 0800 departure from
Kentlands-Fleet Feet for a jaunt about western Montgomery County. 28
miles through Poolesville and Beallsville will do your body good, so I
hope to see our athletes of all shapes sizes and speeds out there.
Should be a great morning to ride.

Those so inclined are welcome to join me for the post-ride jaunt around the Kentlands to add a nice 2.5 mile run to the agenda.

Aloha
everyone, Noah here: at present pace the Ark will be finished in
another few days. Seriously though, this rain sucks and despite all
my efforts I do not see anything I can do about it. Can you tell it's
getting on my nerves?

Barring another line of you-know-what rolling through tonight's ride is at Conte's in Bethesda at 6:15 pm.

Sat morning is BRICK day at Fleet Feet in Gaithersburg (Kentlands).
I, your intrepid ride leader, will not be there as I am heading over to
Cambridge for Eagleman weekend. (If anyone wants to ride in Cambridge
with me Sat please ping me so we can meet up) Kurtis has been leading
the rabbits the past couple of weeks and Michelle has led the B group
out, so pick a distance and pace and get it on. It might even be sunny
on Sat, who knows?

BTW, I have gotten a few messages from folks interested in riding
with us on BRICK day but fearful they may be too slow. Let's settle
this once and for all right now: there is no such thing as "too slow"
or "too fast." The more people who come out, the more different pace
groups will form up and people can ride together with folks at their
level, whatever it may be. The important thing is that we pair up and
everyone has a safe and productive and fun workout.

See y'all at Conte's or at MC on Tuesday Night Track (TNT) workouts.

Here is a good tool if you want to see our ride route from today:
To view MOCO Ride http://www.facebook.com/l/;2009.06.06 Poolesville/Beallsville Loop, follow the link below:

If you do a search under "MOCO" starting in zip 20878 you can see a
map of our other regular route to the Poolesville CVS and back.

The longer route comes out to 28 miles and the shorter one about 23.5 round trip.

We also split into two groups for the post-ride run with our fast
group heading out for about 3.5-4 miles around the Kentlands and my
not-so-fast group doing 2.5 miles of the Kentlands 5k course back to
the shop at Fleet Feet.

Thanks to everyone who came out this morning; we were grateful that it does NOT in fact rain every damn day in June!

A reminder that the Conte's ride is tonight at 6:15p at the store in
Bethesda. I am still in Florida so I won't be joining you tonight but
turnout the last few rides has been great and continues to grow.
Embrace your inner-roadie and hit the hills of Bethesda tonight.

Brick Workout leaves Fleet Feet Sat morning at 8 am. I promise to
be early this time! (last week I arrived at 805 because I had
forgotten that I had promised the family bagels before I left for the
ride. I am not a bad ride leader, but rather a bad husband and
father...........)

Next week on TUESDAY we will begin hosting track workouts along with
MCRRC at Montgomery College. I plan to be there at 630pm to work out
and hope to see some of you there.

Hi friends, it may have caught your attention that it is getting a bit warmer outside.

Therefore, beginning this Sat (May 30) our Sat morning BRICK workout
will launch at 8:00 AM from our usual spot in front of Fleet Feet in
the Kentlands. Come out early and get your ride/run in before the day
really heats up. Hope to see y'all there!

Also, tonight is Conte's ride in Bethesda at 6. Sorry I will have
to miss this one but last week the good weather brought out about two
dozen riders so there will be someone there who rides your speed.

I think it's entirely possible that it will NOT be raining this
evening at 6:15 pm when the Conte's ride leaves. Cross your fingers,
and hope to meet a few more of you there.

To my new athletes: we'll take it slow and work on the hills. Best
way in the world to improve cycling strength in a short period of time.

Sat morning (pending any future monsoons) we leave out of Fleet Feet
Kentlands at 9 am. Five of us made it thru a cold, rainy morning last
week so this one can only get better, right?

See y'all there.

Aloha MOCO..........BRICK ride leaves from Fleet Feet Kentlands
(Gaithersburg) tomorrow (Sat) morning at 900am. Be sure to arrive a
few minutes early to get your bottles and tires ready to roll out on
time. The road to Poolesville is nicely rolling and we should have a
couple of pace groups. Nice little neighborhood run right after to
teach your legs to run off the bike.
